Wait, Thursday is also wolf day (Meow Wolf, Santa Fe NM)

Detail of arch, Meow Wolf, Santa Fe NM
So, Meow Wolf. Wait what, right? Wolves don't ... Cats aren't ... Yup, true, true, so I took a deep breath and ignored the category violation error. It's an excellent name because it makes you ask, what on earth is that?

Ans.: No idea, sorry. Indoor theme park? Art gallery? Interactive installation? Immersive mockumentary?

Meow?

Arch, or possibly question
mark, Meow Wolf.

to another universe.
So seldom the case.

To try and creep up on it: when Simon showed me this article in April last year, we were immediately in agreement that we had to go to New Mexico. We had no idea what Meow Wolf was then, either, just a few visuals and a funny feeling.

It's an astounding experience, fractally rich and dense. We stayed a couple of hours, but I think it would be amazing to go back after they reopen from their imminent renovation closure, hopefully on a quieter day, and spend the whole day.

Because, unfortunately, we were possibly not the only people who heard about it ...

Here's part of the queue before opening time. When we left it was just as long.

The following boxed selection:
Very successfully conveys Somewhat conveys Does not at all convey
Weirdness (spoilt for choice, actually) Crowdedness Multifaceted narrative complexity
Wabisabi Intricacy The noise, my god.
Visual awesometasticness Sheer amount of effortHow much I want to go back
