Christmas lights by the palace (Santa Fe Plaza)

For actual rhinestone cowboys?
Santa Fe plaza gives very pleasant evening strolling in scarf-and-glove temperatures.

All the glittery things imaginable and a few that, frankly, I would never have thought of. Such historic. Very luxury.

The north side of the plaza is the much reconstructed 'Palace of the Governors', now a museum full of amazing artefacts. There was a very striking exhibition of santos. My favourite was St Michael in his lesser known incarnation as an elf.





The building itself, and its courtyard, are also very lovely:
